Sr. Landscaping Estimator
Title: Senior Landscaping Estimator
Type: Full-Time, Remote (LATAM)
Working Hours: Mondays - Fridays, 8:00am - 5:00pm MST
Location: LATAM (Remote)
Compensation: USD $2,000 - $2,800/month
About the Company: Our client is a commercial landscaping company based in the mid-west united states specializing in large-scale commercial projects.
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Landscaping Estimator to join our team as a dedicated, full-time estimator working within our clients existing systems and workflows. The ideal candidate will own the full bid lifecycle — from plan review and quantity takeoff through bid submission and post-award submittals. This is a critical role where accuracy directly impacts profitability; errors in estimating can result in six-figure losses on a single project. You will be working directly with the owner and will play a key role in the company's ability to pursue and win more work.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from architect-provided plans using PlanSwift and existing assembly plugins — including area measurements, linear items, plant material counts, and site elements.
Review project specifications, ASIs, and plan schedules thoroughly to identify missing information and flag questions before bid submission.
Manage the full bid solicitation and submission process — from coordinating supplier pricing to preparing and submitting complete, accurate bids.
Track active bid invitations, manage the estimating pipeline, and coordinate irrigation takeoffs with the company's external provider.
Support post-award workflows including subcontractor buyouts, submittals packages, and ongoing coordination with subs and suppliers on scope and scheduling.
Requirements:
4+ years of estimating experience in commercial landscaping, site-work, or a closely related civil trade, with demonstrated experience on large-scale projects ($500K-$1.5M+) for U.S. clients.
Proficiency with PlanSwift or comparable digital takeoff software, including experience with assembly-based plugins and cost databases.
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural plans, match lines, spec books, and ASIs with a high degree of accuracy.
End-to-end bid process experience — from takeoff and supplier pricing coordination through formal submission, plus familiarity with post-award workflows (buyouts, submittals, scope coordination).
Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) and prior experience working remotely for a U.S.-based contractor is strongly preferred.
