As a Group, ALTEN is currently working with international clients, and we are looking for a Lead System Requirements Manager to develop professionally and work in the US.

The System Requirements Manager provides technical leadership for system requirements activities in vehicle feature development, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple engineering domains. This role is responsible for evaluating, documenting, and releasing technical changes—including new features, modifications, and carry-over content—prior to design and validation phases.

Serving as the technical authority for requirements, this position bridges collaboration between Vehicle Feature Owners, Systems Engineering, Architecture, Design, and Test & Validation teams. Additionally, the role includes acting as a Cluster Lead, mentoring a team of Requirements Engineers to drive technical alignment and excellence in execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Management

  • Assess technical impacts of new features, modifications, and carry-over content.
  • Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, traceable, and verifiable.
  • Lead requirement reviews, releases, and governance.

2. Front-End Systems Engineering

  • Operate upstream of design engineering and validation organizations.
  • Translate customer, business, and regulatory needs into system-level requirements.
  • Identify gaps, conflicts, and risks in early development.
  • Collaborate with Feature Owners and Architecture teams to align technical solutions.

3. Stakeholder Alignment

  • Represent Requirements Management in discussions with Client and stakeholders.
  • Defend requirement decisions and drive alignment across teams (Vehicle Feature Owners, Systems Engineering, Architecture teams, Design Engineering teams, Test & Validation organizations)
  • Present technical information to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives.

4. Process Improvement

  • Promote INCOSE-aligned systems engineering practices.
  • Enhance requirements methodologies, standards, and governance.
  • Contribute to organizational capability growth in: Requirements Engineering,Systems Engineering, Change-Management, Technical Risk Assessment.

5. Leadership & Cluster Lead Responsabilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Requirements Engineers.
  • Manage workload planning, task scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor deliverables and project milestones.
  • Identify requirement-related risks early and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Must:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of Experience in Systems/Requirements Engineering, Design Lead, Product Development, or Vehicle Systems.
  • Proficiency with requirements tools (IBM DOORS, Polarion, Jama, Codebeamer).
  • Advanced English level

Preferred:

  • Automotive product development experience.
  • Knowledge of Vehicle E/E Architecture.
  • INCOSE certification (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP).
  • Experience with MBSE methodologies and customer-facing leadership.
