Senior Quality Engineering Lead

This role plays a key part in building a scalable, engineering-led quality capability, one that strengthens release confidence and reduces production risk across the organization.
Itβs a modern Quality Engineering role, focused on embedding quality directly into how engineering teams work, rather than operating as a separate function.
Youβll partner closely with the CTO and Engineering leadership to shape and scale the companyβs quality strategy, integrating quality across web, mobile, backend, and platform systems.
The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring quality is built into development from the start, enabling teams to move faster with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and execute a scalable Quality Engineering strategy across teams
- Lead automation-first validation across web, mobile, APIs, and platform layers
- Define and implement risk-based validation models for critical business flows
- Establish end-to-end and integration testing standards across complex systems
- Embed quality into CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Improve UAT structure and real-world validation readiness
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to align on quality outcomes
- Analyze production issues and translate them into preventative improvements
- Enable teams to own quality, rather than rely on centralized QA
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / SDET / Automation roles
- Proven experience in automation-first environments
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar
- API testing (REST / GraphQL)
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
- Strong understanding of:
- Complex integrations and distributed systems
- Async / event-driven architectures
- Cloud-native environments (ideally AWS)
- Experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Ability to think in systems and critical flows, not just test cases
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions and improve scope
- Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic thinking
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile QA workflows (Flutter or similar)
- Exposure to hardware, IoT, or access control systems
- Experience in B2B SaaS environments with complex configurations
- Familiarity with observability and production monitoring
- Experience working across legacy and cloud-native systems
- Location: 100% Remote from Central and South America.
- Good command of written and spoken English is required (CEFR level B2)
