AI Data Engineer / Snowflake Cortex Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Data Engineer / Snowflake Cortex Engineer based in Brazil.

This role is designed for a data engineering professional passionate about artificial intelligence, analytics, and modern data platforms. You will help enable AI capabilities within enterprise data ecosystems by building reliable, AI-ready datasets and scalable data products. The position focuses on leveraging Snowflake Cortex to support advanced use cases such as intelligent analytics, anomaly detection, and AI-assisted decision-making. You will collaborate with data, analytics, and platform teams to create governed solutions that transform data into business value. Accountabilities:

The role focuses on enabling AI capabilities through modern data engineering practices, ensuring that data platforms are prepared for intelligent applications while maintaining quality, governance, and scalability.

• Enable AI capabilities on enterprise data platforms using Snowflake Cortex and related AI technologies.
• Build and maintain AI-ready datasets and semantic-ready data products that support advanced analytics use cases.
• Develop solutions for use cases such as metric intelligence, anomaly detection, and AI-assisted analysis.
• Define reusable implementation patterns and best practices for Snowflake Cortex-based solutions.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering teams to expose trusted metrics and governed datasets for AI applications.
• Support the development of future AI and agentic capabilities, including monitoring agents, recommended actions, and personalized insights.
• Document implementation approaches, technical assumptions, platform considerations, and solution guidelines.
• Ensure AI enablement initiatives follow data quality standards, access controls, governance practices, and responsible AI principles.
• Work closely with platform, analytics engineering, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational goals.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong experience in data engineering, Snowflake environments, and AI-enabled data solutions, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data platforms.
• Experience or strong knowledge of Snowflake Cortex and Snowflake AI capabilities.
• Advanced SQL and solid data engineering skills.
• Experience preparing AI-ready datasets and semantic-ready data products.
• Understanding of data modeling, metrics frameworks, and business-oriented data layers.
• Experience with Python is desirable.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics, metric intelligence, or agentic AI use cases is a plus.
• Awareness of data governance, access management, and responsible AI practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with platform teams, analytics engineers, and data stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
