AI Software Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Software Engineer based in Brazil.

We are seeking an AI Software Engineer to help transform software engineering practices by leveraging Artificial Intelligence as a driver of productivity, automation, and quality. In this role, you will collaborate closely with technical leadership to build AI-powered internal tools, intelligent agents, and reusable knowledge structures. You will contribute to defining development standards, improving engineering workflows, and enabling teams to adopt emerging AI technologies effectively. The role combines software engineering expertise with innovation, research, and hands-on experimentation. You will work in a remote, collaborative environment where autonomy, continuous learning, and technical excellence are highly valued.

Accountabilities:

• Drive the evolution of internal software development platforms powered by Artificial Intelligence.
• Design, develop, and maintain AI-related assets such as Skills, Rules, Agents, and other artifacts used by engineering teams.
• Create and structure reusable knowledge bases optimized for AI models and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Develop technical documentation designed for both engineers and AI consumption.
• Build automation solutions that reduce manual processes and improve software engineering productivity.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices applicable to software development.
• Participate in software architecture decisions and contribute to engineering standards and technical guidelines.
• Support developers in adopting AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed and software quality.
• Share technical knowledge through documentation, training sessions, and practical demonstrations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices through innovation and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree completed in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields.
• Solid experience in software development and software architecture.
• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar technologies.
• Strong experience with prompt engineering and AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, or equivalent solutions.
• Experience with Git, REST APIs, process automation, and API design principles.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and technical documentation.
• Ability to explore, test, and implement new technologies with a research-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, collaboration abilities, and capacity to share technical knowledge.
• Strong analytical thinking, organization, autonomy, and focus on continuous improvement.
• Genuine interest in applying Artificial Intelligence to software engineering challenges.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Experience with Human Resources and payroll systems.
• Experience with messaging systems.
• Participation in technical communities or creation of technical content, articles, or training materials.
• Postgraduate studies in Software Engineering.
• AWS or Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience applying productivity methodologies to software engineering teams.
