AI Solutions Engineer (Document Intelligence & Generative AI)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Solutions Engineer (Document Intelligence & Generative AI) based in Mexico.

This role focuses on building and scaling advanced AI-driven document understanding solutions that transform how structured and unstructured information is extracted from complex legal and financial documents. You will work at the intersection of Generative AI, cloud engineering, and intelligent document processing, designing pipelines powered by LLMs and modern AI services. The position involves hands-on development, architecture design, and integration of Azure-based AI services into production-grade systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and optimized for real-world enterprise use cases. This is a high-impact role where your work directly enables automation of critical document-heavy workflows using cutting-edge AI technologies. Accountabilities

• Design and implement AI-powered solutions for intelligent document processing and information extraction from complex documents.
• Build and optimize data extraction pipelines using LLMs, prompt engineering techniques, and Azure AI services.
• Develop and integrate generative AI architectures for document understanding and structured data generation.
• Work with cloud-based services (especially Microsoft Azure) to deploy scalable and secure AI solutions.
• Integrate tools such as Claude/Claude Code and similar AI-assisted development platforms into solution workflows.
• Collaborate with agile teams to define architecture standards, development best practices, and solution quality benchmarks.
• Leverage Microsoft Graph API for document discovery, retrieval, and metadata extraction from platforms such as SharePoint.
• Build and maintain robust APIs, data pipelines, and backend services using Python and/or C#.
• Ensure solutions are production-ready, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise-grade requirements.
• Document architectures, workflows, and technical decisions to ensure clarity and maintainability.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an AI Solutions Engineer or similar role focused on OCR, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), or document automation.
• Strong experience designing and implementing document extraction and automation solutions using AI technologies.
• Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem, including Azure AI Document Intelligence, Azure AI Content Understanding, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Functions.
• Experience with Microsoft Graph API for accessing, managing, and extracting data from SharePoint and related systems.
• Practical experience using Claude, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI architecture design and implementation.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C# for backend and AI solution development.
• Experience building cloud-based data pipelines and integrating distributed services.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering for classification, extraction, and structured output generation.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or higher).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Nice to have:

• Experience in regulated industries such as legal, financial services, insurance, or real estate.
• Familiarity with legal document types such as contracts, deeds, liens, and title reports.
• Experience handling sensitive or confidential data with proper security and compliance controls.
• Experience building AI agents or advanced document intelligence pipelines using LLM-based frameworks.
• Knowledge of human-in-the-loop validation systems and model confidence evaluation strategies.
