Accountabilities:

The Senior Software Development Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend solutions while ensuring application quality, scalability, and alignment with business needs. The role involves technical ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement of software engineering practices.

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Design, evolve, and support software architectures following industry best practices and engineering standards.
• Develop new features and enhance existing applications according to business requirements.
• Perform reverse engineering of legacy systems to support modernization initiatives and development of new solutions.
• Build and maintain APIs using REST and GraphQL technologies.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, automated testing, documentation, and continuous improvement practices.
• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Participate in technical decision-making processes and contribute to strategic software development initiatives.
• Collaborate with different teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, encouraging knowledge sharing and technical growth.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior backend developer with strong experience building enterprise-level applications using Java and modern software engineering practices. This professional should have solid technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively in agile environments.

• Solid professional experience in backend development using Java.
• Experience designing and developing APIs using REST and GraphQL.
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git, and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud environments, especially AWS.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, solve technical challenges, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as DataDog, Dynatrace, Splunk, or Grafana.
• Technical certifications related to cloud, Kubernetes, or software engineering.
