We are looking for a Mid-Level Mainframe Systems Analyst to support the analysis, development, and evolution of critical technology solutions.
This professional will work on projects involving legacy platforms, system improvements, data modeling, and business process optimization.
The role requires strong technical knowledge in Mainframe environments, programming languages, databases, and agile delivery practices.
You will contribute to the design of reliable systems, troubleshooting technical challenges, and delivering solutions aligned with business requirements.

Accountabilities:
The professional will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining Mainframe-based systems, ensuring technical quality, performance, and alignment with business needs. The role involves collaborating with different teams, managing demands, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze and develop system solutions according to business requirements and technical specifications.
- Gather, evaluate, and document requirements while mapping business processes.
- Perform logical and physical data modeling to support system implementation.
- Analyze system performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and prepare technical documentation and user manuals.
- Coordinate programming activities and support development delivery processes.
- Create and execute test scripts using KDZ tools.
- Develop and maintain solutions using Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, COBOL CICS, Natural, DB2, SQL, and VSAM.
- Apply structured systems analysis techniques to support efficient solution design.
- Manage development demands through available platforms and track issue resolution.
- Perform development testing and participate in agile ceremonies such as Scrum and Kanban meetings.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure code quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree completed in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related areas.
- Experience working with Mainframe systems analysis and development.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as COBOL, COBOL CICS, and Natural.
- Experience with databases and data technologies including DB2 and SQL.
- Knowledge of VSAM and Mainframe development environments.
- Experience with data modeling using CASE tools such as ERwin.
- Ability to analyze requirements, design solutions, and support system implementation.
- Experience creating and executing software tests.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
