Analista de Testes Senior

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Analista de Testes Senior based in Brazil.

This role is responsible for driving software quality across complex products and technology initiatives within the insurance sector. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements refinement and testability analysis to automation, validation, and production support. The position combines advanced test engineering, automation architecture, CI/CD, non-functional testing, and risk-based quality practices. You will help evolve scalable testing frameworks and infrastructure while promoting quality standards across development teams. The role also offers the opportunity to apply AI responsibly to test generation, regression prioritization, failure analysis, and defect investigation. Working closely with developers, Product, Architecture, Operations, and clients, you will help make quality a shared responsibility across the organization.

Accountabilities:

• Participate actively in the software development lifecycle, contributing to refinement activities, challenging business rules, evaluating testability, and transforming acceptance criteria into verifiable test scenarios.
• Plan and execute comprehensive testing activities, ensuring test scripts and execution meet agreed deadlines and acceptance criteria.
• Apply risk-based testing approaches, prioritizing effort according to business criticality, technical complexity, and historical defect patterns.
• Define and guide testing strategies across products and modules, covering unit, integration, contract, interface, end-to-end, and non-functional testing levels.
• Architect, evolve, and scale automation frameworks and infrastructure, promoting reuse across products, parallel execution, and reproducible environments through containers and ephemeral environments.
• Establish and promote effective version-control practices for automated test repositories using recognized industry models such as Git Flow.
• Implement quality gates within CI/CD pipelines, including static analysis, test coverage, and performance thresholds.
• Define, document, and continuously improve software quality standards, templates, policies, and responsible AI practices for testing.
• Apply AI in a controlled and advanced manner to support test-suite generation, risk- and change-based regression prioritization, failure triage, and defect analysis, always maintaining human validation and protecting sensitive data.
• Evaluate and recommend testing tools and technologies through proof-of-concept initiatives based on technical, cost, and sustainability criteria.
• Define test data management and test environment strategies according to project and business requirements.
• Lead process optimization initiatives with measurable outcomes, including reduced lead time, fewer flaky tests, and lower rework.
• Mentor Junior and Mid-Level Test Analysts through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and internal training.
• Guide developers on testability, unit testing, and integration testing while promoting shared ownership of software quality.
• Support leadership in communicating quality risks to Product, Architecture, Operations, and customers, including during critical acceptance and validation activities.
• When required, prepare solution packages for customers, support customer configuration, and provide training on delivered solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software quality, with solid expertise in test automation and non-functional testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Advanced practical knowledge of software testing approaches and techniques within complex projects and technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language, particularly C# or Python, along with software design patterns.
• Proven experience creating and maintaining custom automation frameworks, shared libraries, and distributed execution strategies.
• Advanced experience with code versioning practices, particularly Git Flow.
• Hands-on experience with multi-level automation, including UI testing with Playwright, API testing with REST Assured, Playwright API or Postman, contract testing, and mobile testing where applicable.
• Advanced CI/CD experience, including building and optimizing pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI, with quality gates and parallel execution.
• Practical experience with Docker, familiarity with Kubernetes orchestration, and exposure to cloud-based test infrastructure on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with performance and load testing using tools such as k6 or JMeter, as well as resilience testing and application security fundamentals.
• Experience testing distributed architectures, APIs, messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and integrations with legacy systems.
• Advanced SQL and data analysis skills for defect investigation, test data generation, and validation of calculations through database queries.
• Practical experience applying AI to testing, including prompt engineering, LLM integration into testing workflows, and critical evaluation of AI-generated results.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks is a plus.
• CTFL or higher software testing certification is desirable.
• Experience in regulated environments and insurance systems, including policies, claims, coinsurance, reinsurance, and integrations with regulatory bodies, is an advantage.
• Basic English proficiency for reading technical materials and consuming training content.
