Accountabilities:

The Senior Data Architect will be responsible for designing and leading modern data solutions, ensuring technical excellence, scalability, governance, and alignment between technology and business objectives. The role requires strong architecture skills, hands-on engineering knowledge, and the ability to guide technical teams and stakeholders.

• Lead the design of modern data architectures, including Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Medallion approaches for analytical and operational environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, BI, Data Science, and Generative AI teams to ensure technical alignment and integrated solutions.
• Define standards for data modeling, ingestion, processing, storage, and governance.
• Support the development of scalable data pipelines using DataOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.
• Make technical decisions based on practical data engineering experience and architectural best practices.
• Conduct technical reviews, recommend tools, and promote effective implementation strategies.
• Engage with business teams and executive stakeholders to recommend sustainable and value-driven solutions.
• Guide multidisciplinary squads and support the evolution of data capabilities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in data architecture, strong data engineering foundations, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into reliable technical solutions. This role requires expertise in cloud environments, data platforms, governance practices, and effective communication with technical and business stakeholders.

• Proven experience in data architecture for complex and large-scale projects.
• Strong background in data engineering, including data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and pipeline deployment.
• Advanced knowledge of data modeling, including relational, dimensional, and event-driven approaches.
• Experience with cloud data environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft data ecosystem technologies, including:
  • Azure Data Factory.
  • Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Azure Data Lake.
  • Azure SQL and SQL Server.
  • Power BI.
  • Purview and Fabric are considered advantages.
  • Knowledge of data governance, LGPD compliance, data lineage, and cataloging practices.
  • Ability to technically lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with different audiences.
  • Strong product mindset and business-oriented vision.
  • Experience or knowledge in AI projects, MLOps, intelligent automation, or multicloud environments is a plus.
  • Microsoft data certifications such as DP-203, DP-500, DP-600, or DP-700 are desirable.
