Business and Finance Analyst

Accountabilities:

The Business and Finance Analyst will support financial planning, reporting, and strategic analysis activities while acting as a trusted partner to leadership and business teams. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.

• Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Analyze business performance against targets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Partner with department leaders to collect financial inputs and align reporting requirements.
• Track, analyze, and report key business metrics and KPIs on a regular basis.
• Prepare executive-level materials, including financial reports and KPI summaries for leadership reviews.
• Support quarterly business reviews and board-level reporting activities.
• Conduct ad hoc financial and business analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting workflows, and analytical tools.
• Help enhance visibility into company performance through accurate and insightful reporting.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a finance professional with experience in financial analysis, modeling, and business reporting. You should be comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and communicating insights clearly to different stakeholders.

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or related fields.
• Strong experience building financial models and conducting business analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, with confidence in financial modeling.
• Experience creating polished executive presentations and financial reports.
• Previous exposure to board-level reporting or investor presentations is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Fluent English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Resourceful approach with the ability to find solutions and adapt as business needs evolve.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in a startup, SaaS, technology, or high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with retail, security, or loss prevention industries.
• Experience using BI and reporting tools.
• Previous experience supporting executive leadership or investor communications.
