This role is focused on supporting mortgage closing and loss mitigation processes in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment. The specialist plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of foreclosure and loan servicing cases. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, homeowners, investors, insurers, and external partners to drive successful outcomes. The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. You will also contribute to quality control, reporting, and training activities that support operational excellence. This is a highly dynamic role where adaptability, communication skills, and mortgage servicing expertise are essential to success.


Accountabilities:

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to operational alignment and performance discussions.
  • Conduct monthly quality control audits to ensure accuracy and compliance across staff work.
  • Monitor the loan servicing pipeline, identify gaps, and ensure timely resolution of foreclosure-related cases.
  • Review foreclosure sale date reports and ensure all impacted files are properly addressed.
  • Prepare and distribute daily operational reports for management visibility and decision-making.
  • Manage professional written and verbal communication with homeowners, clients, investors, insurers, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires, including file auditing during training periods.
  • Apply investor guidelines to underwriting and workout structuring while adapting to evolving priorities.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business needs and operational efficiency.
  • Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in collections, loss mitigation, mortgage servicing, or related real estate/financial services roles.
    • Strong knowledge of mortgage workout solutions and agency guidelines (FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC).
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to manage reporting tools effectively.
    • Experience with mortgage servicing platforms such as LPS/MSP.
    • Strong ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
    • Excellent multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to structure solutions that balance homeowner, investor, and insurer interests.
