This role offers the opportunity to coordinate application technology initiatives supporting the mining sector within a global specialty chemicals and technology environment.
You will manage relationships with service providers while ensuring activities align with established contract and program-management plans.
The position combines operational coordination, process improvement, technical problem-solving, and customer-focused solution development.
You will identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and procedures while contributing to structured change initiatives.
The role also involves developing products and services that address customer needs and delivering small to medium-sized projects.

Accountabilities:

• Manage day-to-day relationships with contracted service providers and ensure required outcomes are delivered within established contract-management plans.

• Identify gaps and opportunities to improve existing processes, systems, and procedures.

• Develop improvement proposals and contribute to defined elements of change-management programs under the guidance of project or program managers.

• Work within established knowledge-management systems to deliver agreed outcomes within the assigned area of responsibility.

• Support the development of procedures for specific organizational areas, departments, or functions and monitor their implementation.

• Define and develop products and services that address customer requirements while selecting appropriate approaches and following established systems.

• Lead and deliver small to medium-sized projects within established program-management frameworks.

• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues when required.

• Coordinate activities and priorities to ensure business objectives are achieved efficiently.

• Identify, assess, prioritize, and manage risks within relevant production or operational processes.

• Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus where different interests or requirements need to be balanced.

• Develop and execute appropriate plans and actions based on business requirements, recommendations, and established objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent university-level qualification.

• Relevant professional experience enabling independent management of a broad range of situations and the ability to advise colleagues.

• Experience providing general supervision or guidance to less experienced colleagues.

• Ability to independently support business processes using standard office equipment, software packages, and business systems, while providing guidance and training to others.

• Strong understanding and practical application of workplace safety systems and procedures, with the ability to advise and train colleagues.

• Demonstrated ability to negotiate independently and provide technical guidance when working toward consensus among multiple internal or external stakeholders.

• Ability to understand business objectives and operating environments and independently develop appropriate solutions.

• Strong risk-management skills, including the ability to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and manage operational or production risks.

• Strong planning, organization, prioritization, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage activities toward defined business objectives.

• Ability to develop appropriate plans and execute actions based on established requirements and recommendations.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with colleagues, service providers, customers, and other stakeholders.

• Practical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, problem-solving, and effective implementation.
