Cyber Security Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cyber Security Architect based in Brazil.

The Cyber Security Architect will play a key role in strengthening enterprise security by designing and implementing advanced application security strategies across global environments.
This position focuses on protecting critical applications, APIs, and AI-driven solutions against evolving cyber threats.
You will collaborate with security leaders, developers, architects, and business teams to embed security into every stage of the software lifecycle.
The role combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution to improve security maturity and reduce organizational risk.
You will contribute to security frameworks, threat modeling practices, and secure development initiatives at scale.

Accountabilities:

The Cyber Security Architect will be responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving application security capabilities across the organization. The role requires strong collaboration with technical and business stakeholders to ensure secure, resilient, and compliant technology solutions.

• Design and implement comprehensive application security solutions, including AI-enabled security approaches and threat modeling practices.
• Ensure security controls are integrated throughout application architectures, APIs, and software development processes.
• Create and maintain application data flow documentation to support security reviews and compliance requirements.
• Advise technology and security leaders on evolving application security strategies, tools, processes, and best practices.
• Collaborate with application development teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to strengthen security across applications and AI solutions.
• Perform security risk assessments for applications and API services, identifying vulnerabilities and driving remediation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain application security policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Support secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) adoption and DevSecOps practices.
• Analyze emerging security threats and recommend improvements to strengthen protection against cyber risks.
• Contribute to security awareness initiatives and promote a strong security culture across teams.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced security professional with strong expertise in application security architecture, secure development practices, and enterprise security frameworks.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, application security, or security architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing and implementing application security solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of application security tools, methodologies, and vulnerability management practices.
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and security improvements.
• Solid understanding of secure SDLC, DevSecOps practices, and OWASP security principles.
• Experience with threat modeling methodologies such as STRIDE or similar approaches.
• Knowledge of AI security solutions, including emerging AI application security concepts and MCP technologies.
• Familiarity with SAP architectures and enterprise application environments.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), cryptography, and data loss prevention (DLP).
• Experience working with application security, privacy-by-design, information protection, and security controls assurance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Relevant security certifications or equivalent demonstrated professional experience are preferred.
