This senior database role is designed for a highly technical professional who will play a strategic part in shaping data architecture, performance, and reliability across complex, large-scale systems. You will work closely with engineering, QA, and architecture teams to ensure robust, secure, and high-performing data solutions that support critical business applications. The position involves hands-on development as well as technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. You will contribute to improving system efficiency by optimizing queries, procedures, and database structures. A strong focus will be placed on identifying bottlenecks, enhancing data flows, and supporting integration initiatives. This is a highly impactful role in an international and innovation-driven environment where data quality and scalability are essential.

Accountabilities:

• Mentor teams on database engineering practices, tools, and performance optimization techniques, while supporting QA teams in building advanced automated testing scenarios.
• Support architecture discussions by contributing to solution design, validation, and best practices for scalable and secure data systems.
• Work closely with development and QA teams to identify system improvements, break down technical tasks, and enhance delivery efficiency.
• Monitor system metrics and performance indicators, proposing improvements in processes, planning, and technical execution.
• Ensure database solutions meet business and client requirements while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and performance.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues during rollouts, including critical incidents, and support resolution strategies when needed.
• Detect potential security risks in development and database processes, documenting findings and contributing to corrective actions.
• Produce clear technical documentation, including diagrams, flows, queries, and system design artifacts.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Hitachi Vantara Pentaho (Integration and Analytics).
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including configuration, query optimization, procedures, and performance tuning.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, including administration, optimization, and stored procedure development.
• Solid experience in Node.js development and backend integration.
• Proven ability to work with complex data environments and large-scale systems.
• Strong understanding of database architecture principles and system design best practices.
• Advanced English (spoken and written), required for interaction in an international project environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify risks, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
• Proactive attitude, ownership mindset, and ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
