Demand Planning Analyst
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Demand Planning Analyst based in Brazil.
This is an opportunity to support a global Advanced Planning System transformation and demand planning stabilization program.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate forecasts, reliable planning data, and uninterrupted demand planning operations.
The position involves collaborating with regional Demand Planning teams across multiple global business groups and markets.
You will manage product portfolios, execute forecasting activities, and support planning system readiness throughout the deployment phase.
Your analytical expertise will help identify demand exceptions, investigate forecast impacts, and improve planning accuracy.
The role is well suited to an experienced demand planning professional who is comfortable working with complex product portfolios and fast-paced manufacturing environments.
You will also gain exposure to global planning processes, advanced forecasting technologies, and a large-scale transformation initiative.
Accountabilities:
- Manage a portfolio of products primarily driven by statistical forecasting and support the end-to-end demand planning cycle.
- Upload, maintain, and adjust demand forecasts to reflect updated business requirements and planning assumptions.
- Execute forecast adjustments, realignments, and activities related to already open sales orders through the FDO process.
- Maintain forecast change percentages and statistical forecast parameters to support accurate planning outcomes.
- Compare statistical forecasts with machine learning forecasts and aggregated demand signals when required.
- Create, maintain, and cleanse CVCs (Characteristic Value Combinations) and other Demand Planning master data.
- Maintain Demand Planning IDs and support the accuracy and integrity of related planning data.
- Support EDI mapping activities and validate demand planning drivers and underlying assumptions.
- Support PIPO (Phase-In/Phase-Out) activities and New Product Introduction initiatives.
- Execute commercial and forecast realignments associated with product lifecycle and business changes.
- Perform outlier analysis and investigate forecast exceptions to identify potential demand issues and opportunities.
- Review Average Selling Price changes and assess their potential impact on demand.
- Execute post-dated order reviews, exception checks, and other operational planning activities.
- Support weekly and monthly demand review processes with regional and local business teams.
- Respond to ad hoc forecasting requests, demand analyses, and other planning needs throughout the program.
- Help ensure planning system readiness, data integrity, and continuity of demand planning operations during the transformation.
- You have 3–5 years of professional experience in Demand Planning and a strong understanding of the operational demand planning cycle.
- You have experience working with complex product portfolios and managing forecasting activities in a structured business environment.
- You have experience in manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, technology, consumer goods, or a related industry.
- You have mandatory hands-on experience with SAP APO-DP and a strong understanding of how it supports demand planning processes.
- Experience with demand forecasting tools and advanced planning systems, particularly Kinaxis, is highly desirable.
- You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities for forecasting, exception management, and demand analysis.
- You are comfortable working with planning master data, forecast parameters, demand drivers, and data-quality requirements.
- You have strong attention to detail and can identify inconsistencies or anomalies in complex planning datasets.
- You are able to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and collaborate with Demand Planning teams across multiple regions.
- You have strong communication and problem-solving skills and can respond effectively to both planned activities and ad hoc business requirements.
- English proficiency is mandatory for the role.
- Spanish is preferred for LATAM-focused support, while Chinese/Mandarin is preferred for China-focused support; additional Asian language capabilities are considered an advantage.
