This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Deputy CDO in Mexico.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and execution-oriented data leader to drive operational excellence across data, machine learning, and experimentation functions within a globally distributed organization. In this role, you will lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment between analytics, engineering, product, and ML teams to accelerate business outcomes. You will play a key role in improving delivery predictability, scaling experimentation processes, and strengthening execution frameworks across multiple domains. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-moving, and deeply data-driven, offering the chance to influence both technical strategy and organizational effectiveness. This position is ideal for someone who combines technical fluency with strong leadership and operational discipline. Working remotely alongside international teams, you will directly contribute to the optimization and growth of large-scale digital products used by millions of people worldwide.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and execute cross-functional strategic initiatives across machine learning, experimentation, analytics, and data platform domains.
  • Drive high-priority projects from planning through delivery, ensuring measurable business outcomes and clear stakeholder alignment.
  • Establish and manage execution frameworks including quarterly planning, project reviews, retrospectives, escalation processes, and business reviews.
  • Improve operational efficiency by creating a centralized system for tracking project status, delivery progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Accelerate ML delivery cycles by streamlining coordination between engineering, analytics, backend, and product teams.
  • Enhance experimentation processes by improving rollout frameworks, decision-making speed, and reducing operational bottlenecks.
  • Ensure machine learning initiatives deliver measurable commercial impact beyond technical implementation.
  • Strengthen leadership capabilities across Product Analytics, Data Engineering, ML, and UX teams through coaching, prioritization support, and performance guidance.
  • Promote accountability, ownership, and collaboration across distributed cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor and improve operational excellence metrics including data freshness, SLA compliance, uptime, and delivery reliability.
  • Requirements:

    • 6–10+ years of experience in data, analytics, machine learning, or related domains, including 3–5+ years in leadership positions.
    • Proven track record managing and delivering complex cross-functional initiatives involving ML systems, experimentation platforms, analytics, and data infrastructure.
    • Experience working within product-focused organizations rather than purely consulting environments.
    • Strong understanding of product analytics, A/B testing methodologies, business metrics, and unit economics.
    • Solid knowledge of the machine learning lifecycle, from ideation and experimentation through deployment and optimization.
    • Familiarity with data platforms, data quality management practices, SLA processes, and self-service analytics environments.
    • Strong project management and execution capabilities, including prioritization, risk management, planning, and dependency coordination.
    • High technical literacy with the ability to collaborate closely with engineering and data teams while understanding system constraints and architecture.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating across multiple functions and leadership levels.
    • Fluency in both English and Russian, written and verbal, is required.
    • Benefits:

      • Fully remote full-time opportunity with global flexibility.
      • 28 calendar days of paid vacation annually.
      • 7 additional wellness days for personal recovery and well-being.
      • Performance-based referral bonuses up to $5,000.
      • Financial support for professional development, international conferences, and training programs.
      • Corporate discounts for English language learning.
      • Health reimbursement support for medical insurance and healthcare expenses.
      • Home office and workplace setup reimbursement, including equipment and coworking support.
      • Collaborative international culture with recognition and reward programs.
      • Opportunity to work with globally distributed teams in a fast-growing digital environment.
