This role offers the opportunity to work on end-to-end software development within a structured, agile environment, contributing directly to the delivery and evolution of mission-critical systems. You will be involved in all stages of the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to coding, testing, integration, deployment, and user support. You will also interact with stakeholders and support deployment, testing, and knowledge transfer activities. Accountabilities
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, contributing to the design, development, testing, integration, and maintenance of enterprise systems within an agile framework.
- Act as part of an agile development team, taking ownership of sprint work items and delivering high-quality solutions.
- Perform software development activities including analysis, design, programming, testing, and requirements understanding.
- Manage assigned tasks independently, proactively communicating delays or blockers to the team.
- Provide guidance and technical support to other developers within the project team.
- Code, integrate, and test software components using defined languages, tools, and project standards.
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure quality and system reliability.
- Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance of existing software components.
- Produce technical documentation in accordance with project and contractual requirements.
- Integrate developed components with team deliverables using defined integration tools and processes.
- Set up and configure local development environments based on project needs.
- Support IT teams and end users regarding system components and functionalities when required.
- Assist in system deployment, integration testing, and client acceptance environments.
- Participate in homologation, implementation, and knowledge transfer activities with clients.
- High school diploma completed.
- Around 3 years of experience in systems development and maintenance in IBM mainframe z/OS environments.
- Strong knowledge of COBOL (Enterprise COBOL 4.0 or higher), DB2, and SQL.
- Experience with CICS (transactions, maps, VSAM) and performance/execution analysis.
- Knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF, and SDSF.
- Experience with tools such as IBM z/OS, RDz/IDz, DB2, MainView, Xpediter, Abend-AID, File-AID, Control-M, and similar.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Endevor or equivalent).
- Understanding of version control, code review practices, and technical documentation standards.
- Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in structured, mission-critical environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical issues clearly.
