This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor BackEnd Node - Sênior based in Brazil.

This is a senior backend engineering opportunity focused on building scalable, secure, and high-performance services with Node.js.
You will design and maintain APIs and backend solutions that support evolving digital products and business needs.
The role involves working across relational and NoSQL databases, distributed architectures, and modern cloud environments.
You will collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, and product teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
Quality, automated testing, observability, security, and sustainable architecture will be central to your work.
You will also contribute to code reviews, technical decisions, refactoring, and continuous improvements across the platform.
As a senior professional, you will have the opportunity to mentor other developers and help raise engineering standards.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and backend services using Node.js.

• Build and optimize integrations with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Develop solutions following strong coding standards, automated testing practices, and software engineering best practices.

• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams to align technical solutions with business and product requirements.

• Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.

• Contribute to backend architecture, technical improvements, refactoring initiatives, and long-term system sustainability.

• Work with microservices and messaging architectures to support reliable and scalable distributed systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience developing applications with Node.js.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Solid experience developing REST and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Advanced knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

• Strong command of Git and version-control practices.

• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Chai.

• Experience with microservices architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Knowledge of backend application security practices and secure software development.

• Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is a plus.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK is desirable.

• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is an advantage.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical challenges.

• Clear, collaborative communication and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

• Proactive, results-oriented approach with strong attention to quality and technical excellence.

• Interest in innovation, continuous improvement, and sharing technical knowledge.
