This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Emerging Markets Lead based in Brazil.

This is a high-impact, strategic role focused on driving international expansion across emerging markets, with a strong emphasis on Latin America. You will be responsible for building the foundations of a new banking product in new geographies, shaping partnerships with key financial institutions and ecosystem players. The role combines business development, market strategy, and hands-on relationship management, requiring someone who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments. You will act as a key representative in the region, engaging directly with senior stakeholders and building long-term strategic partnerships. The position involves significant autonomy, ownership, and visibility, with direct influence on global expansion decisions. It is ideal for a commercially driven professional who excels at building trust, navigating ambiguity, and executing 0-to-1 market entry strategies.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic partnerships with banks and financial institutions across emerging markets, with a focus on Latin America.
  • Own and manage senior-level relationships with prospective and existing partners, including regular in-person engagement and industry networking.
  • Drive end-to-end partnership processes, from initial outreach and negotiation through legal, compliance, and final contract execution.
  • Gather and synthesize market intelligence on regulatory landscapes, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to inform regional strategy.
  • Build deep expertise in correspondent banking ecosystems and develop a strong regional professional network.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with legal, compliance, product, and executive teams to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Design and implement scalable processes for partnership onboarding, management, and long-term relationship growth.
  • Represent the organization at key industry events and maintain active engagement within the regional financial ecosystem.
  • Requirements:

    • 6+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, strategy, or operations within a high-performing environment (consulting or top-tier tech preferred).
    • 4+ years of professional experience working within Latin American markets.
    • Native-level fluency in Spanish with strong experience managing senior stakeholder relationships in Spanish-speaking environments.
    • Proven track record of managing complex, high-value partnerships and negotiating with executive-level stakeholders.
    • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to evaluate markets, assess opportunities, and advise leadership.
    • Excellent relationship-building skills with a natural ability to establish trust with senior executives and decision-makers.
    • Highly organized project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across teams.
    • Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset with a willingness to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
    • Benefits:

      • High-impact founding role within a new global business line
      • Significant autonomy and ownership over regional expansion strategy
      • Opportunity to shape partnerships across emerging financial markets
      • Exposure to senior leadership and global decision-making processes
      • International travel across Latin America and engagement with global teams
      • Dynamic, high-growth environment focused on innovation in financial infrastructure
