Accountabilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and integration across multiple sources and systems.
- Design and implement modern data architectures such as Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse solutions on AWS.
- Build and orchestrate scalable workflows using tools like AWS Glue, Apache Spark, Airflow, or equivalent technologies.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, security, and availability across all data platforms and processes.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for cloud-based data solutions.
- Integrate data from APIs, streaming systems, messaging platforms, and relational/non-relational databases.
- Support version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation practices within the data engineering lifecycle.
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and Step Functions.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or PySpark for data processing and analytical modeling.
- Experience building and managing data pipelines using modern orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow or similar).
- Deep understanding of modern data architectures including Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse concepts.
- Experience with data integration from APIs, event-driven systems, and heterogeneous data sources.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and automation in data engineering workflows.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to data quality and performance.
- (Differential) Experience with Lakehouse frameworks such as Delta Lake or Iceberg and cloud migration projects.
