This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Engenheiro de Dados e Automação Sênior based in Brazil.

This is a hands-on senior role focused on building and evolving data, analytics, automation, and AI capabilities within a finance transformation environment.
You will design scalable data pipelines, process large datasets, and create reliable solutions that turn complex information into business value.
The role combines data engineering with process automation, API integrations, web automation, and modern data visualization.
You will also develop dashboards and interactive data applications that enable stakeholders to make faster, more informed decisions.
A strong analytical mindset will be essential as you translate business needs into sustainable and technically robust solutions.
You will work closely with business stakeholders while contributing to data governance, documentation, standards, and performance metrics.
The position is ideal for a versatile professional who enjoys solving complex problems, experimenting with emerging technologies, and delivering measurable impact.

Accountabilities

• Build and evolve data, analytics, automation, and AI capabilities supporting finance transformation initiatives.
• Design, develop, and orchestrate ETL/ELT data pipelines for processing and transforming large volumes of data in Google BigQuery.
• Perform data modeling, manipulation, processing, and analysis using scalable and maintainable engineering practices.
• Develop and maintain process automation through REST API integrations, Selenium-based web automation, and no-code/low-code tools such as N8N or Opal.
• Create intuitive dashboards and data visualization solutions using Looker.
• Develop interactive data applications and analytical tools with Python and Streamlit.
• Establish and maintain data governance practices through technical documentation, asset standardization, and business metric definition and monitoring.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and apply statistical techniques to support business insights and decision-making.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient, sustainable, and technically sound data solutions.
• Collaborate continuously with stakeholders and business teams to understand needs, communicate solutions, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Solid experience in Data Engineering, including GCP, BigQuery, ETL/ELT pipelines, Pandas, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience integrating REST APIs and developing web automation or scraping routines using Selenium.
• Experience with no-code or low-code automation platforms such as N8N, Opal, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization using Looker.
• Experience building data-focused web applications with Streamlit and Python.
• Strong analytical skills, including exploratory data analysis and applied statistics.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on, generalist profile with strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on technical quality.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
• Knowledge of JavaScript is a plus.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts and practical applications is desirable.
• Experience with Generative AI ecosystems, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI API integrations such as Gemini or similar platforms, is a plus.
