Field Service Engineer

The position involves frequent travel across assigned territories, ensuring high system uptime and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with customers, sales teams, and internal service specialists to install, maintain, and optimize sophisticated diagnostic equipment. This is a hands-on, high-impact role requiring strong technical problem-solving skills and customer-facing communication abilities. Accountabilities:
- Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and refrigeration-based medical and scientific instruments in the field.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis, including escalation of complex issues when needed.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely request and usage of components to support service operations.
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to support system configurations, upgrades, and service contracts.
- Communicate effectively with customers, address technical concerns, and ensure high levels of satisfaction and Customer NPS.
- Complete accurate service documentation and reports in compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cost control, and operational efficiency in field service delivery.
- Technical degree or bachelorβs degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing medical devices or scientific instruments (mechanical, electronic, or electromechanical).
- Strong technical English (reading and writing) and advanced Portuguese proficiency.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (80%+), including frequent overnight and international travel.
- Valid driverβs license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, and ability to work in high-pressure field environments.
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Nice to have: intermediate Spanish, prior field service experience in healthcare, valid passport or U.S. visa.
