Founding Engineer

This role offers a rare opportunity to shape a zero-to-one product at the frontier of real-time prediction markets, where speed, automation, and precision define the core challenge. You will be part of an early-stage venture building systems that enable markets to be created, priced, and resolved in seconds rather than days. As a founding technical hire, you will define architecture decisions, build core infrastructure, and directly influence how the product evolves and scales. Working closely with leadership, you will move rapidly from experimentation to production in a highly iterative environment. This is a deeply hands-on position where engineering decisions directly shape product direction, user experience, and long-term technical foundation. You will operate in an environment that values speed, ownership, and practical problem-solving at every stage.
Accountabilities:
- Own the end-to-end technical roadmap, from early prototyping and research to production-grade system deployment.
- Design and build core infrastructure for real-time market creation, pricing, resolution, and execution logic.
- Define system architecture decisions, balancing performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on new ideas, scaling successful approaches into production systems.
- Collaborate closely with product leadership to shape both technical direction and user-facing product experience.
- Integrate and coordinate with external infrastructure and technology partners where required.
- Leverage AI tools and modern development frameworks to accelerate engineering velocity and delivery.
- Proven experience building and shipping production systems in early-stage, startup, or high-velocity environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript for backend and full-stack development.
- Hands-on experience with blockchain systems, including smart contracts and on-chain interactions.
- Familiarity with Solidity and EVM-based development, including deployment and contract integration.
- Strong system design skills, particularly for high-performance, real-time, or low-latency applications.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with minimal structure or predefined processes.
- Strong product intuition, with the ability to connect technical decisions to user and business outcomes.
- Practical, execution-oriented mindset with a strong bias toward shipping and iteration.
