Fullstack Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Fullstack Developer based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to an enterprise-grade platform supporting complex, high-volume item lifecycle management.
You’ll work primarily on the backend while also delivering responsive, user-focused frontend experiences.
The position combines modern Java development, scalable microservices, cloud infrastructure, and production-grade engineering practices.
You’ll help build low-latency, highly available systems capable of handling billions of unique product identities.
Working within agile PODs, you’ll collaborate with architects, technical leads, product managers, and other engineering teams.
Your work will directly influence platform scalability, resilience, automation, and operational performance.

Accountabilities

• Design, architect, and maintain scalable, high-availability backend microservices using Java 21, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Develop and optimize relational database solutions using Oracle PL/SQL and MySQL.
• Build responsive and user-centric frontend experiences with JavaScript, ReactJS, and ExtJS.
• Design low-latency APIs and improve system performance through load testing, monitoring, and proactive optimization.
• Use tools such as JMeter, New Relic, and Splunk to monitor, analyze, and improve application performance and reliability.
• Own features throughout the development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and highly testable code while contributing to automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain strong engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and participate in scheduled on-call rotations to support system availability and operational reliability.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive workflows and continuously improve development and delivery processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong backend focus of approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend development.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with Java 21, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL and MySQL.
• Solid frontend development skills using JavaScript ES5/ES6, ReactJS, and ExtJS.
• Practical experience with AWS and modern DevOps technologies, including Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and hands-on experience with performance testing and observability tools such as JMeter, New Relic, and Splunk.
• Advanced written and verbal English skills for effective daily collaboration with U.S.-based stakeholders.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or workflows, such as GitHub Copilot or RAG implementations, is a plus.
• Familiarity with Hibernate or Spring Data JPA is advantageous.
• Experience in nearshore POD environments or high-volume supply chain, retail, or industrial technology domains is a plus.
