Icelandic Voice Actor - Freelance AI Trainer Project

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Icelandic Voice Actor – Freelance AI Trainer Project based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Icelandic voice professional to contribute directly to the development of next-generation AI voice technologies. You will use your performance expertise to create and evaluate high-quality speech data for increasingly natural and expressive AI systems. The role combines voice recording, linguistic evaluation, AI-assisted workflows, and detailed feedback on speech quality. You will assess pronunciation, pacing, tone, emotional expression, and regional characteristics to help improve Icelandic voice models. Your expertise will support AI applications across areas such as education, entertainment, accessibility, and digital communication. This remote contract role is well suited to a detail-oriented voice professional who is excited to apply their craft to emerging AI technologies.

Accountabilities

• Record scripted speech material in Icelandic while maintaining clear pronunciation, natural delivery, consistent tone, and high-quality audio.
• Evaluate AI-generated speech and voice outputs for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, clarity, and overall performance quality.
• Provide expert feedback on Icelandic pronunciation, pacing, intonation, tone, emotional expression, and regional variation.
• Identify, annotate, and clearly explain errors or unnatural elements in AI-generated speech.
• Collaborate with project teams to refine prompts, evaluation criteria, voice design guidelines, and speech-quality standards.
• Apply professional voice-acting judgment to determine whether generated outputs sound authentic and natural to Icelandic speakers.
• Contribute to the creation and improvement of high-quality training data used to strengthen AI speech and voice models.
• Follow recording, evaluation, annotation, and quality-assurance guidelines consistently throughout the project.
• Use AI tools and related technologies as part of the voice evaluation and training workflow.
• Maintain a reliable and professional recording environment that supports consistent, production-quality audio.

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, broadcasting, or a closely related performance discipline in Icelandic.
• Strong Icelandic language proficiency with excellent pronunciation, diction, fluency, and natural conversational delivery.
• Ability to convey a wide range of tones, emotions, pacing, and vocal styles accurately.
• Strong understanding of linguistic nuance and the ability to recognize unnatural or inaccurate speech.
• Excellent attention to detail when recording, reviewing, and annotating speech samples.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and actionable feedback.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed project guidelines in a remote environment.
• Experience in voice training, coaching, linguistic annotation, speech evaluation, or AI training projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools, language models, speech technologies, or AI-assisted workflows is advantageous.

• Reliable computer and stable internet connection suitable for remote contract work.
