Lead Email Designer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Email Designer based in Brazil.
This role is designed for an experienced digital designer ready to take the next step toward creative leadership. You will create high-impact email and SMS campaigns for established direct-to-consumer brands across fashion, beauty, CPG, e-commerce, and luxury. Rather than relying on repetitive templates, you will bring campaign concepts to life through strong art direction, visual storytelling, and brand-specific design systems. You will translate strategic briefs into polished creative that balances distinctive brand expression with measurable conversion goals. The role combines hands-on design with creative critique, collaboration, and increasing ownership of brand visual direction. As your impact grows, you will have the opportunity to take on greater leadership and eventually contribute to new-business creative direction.
Accountabilities
- Design high-quality email and SMS campaigns for assigned brands, including weekly campaigns, promotions, product drops, launches, and other retention initiatives.
- Develop and expand visual systems for individual brands, including typography, photography treatments, color systems, merchandising approaches, and overall visual language.
- Translate strategic and marketing briefs into distinctive, premium-quality creative that supports both brand identity and performance objectives.
- Challenge briefs when necessary and proactively identify opportunities to elevate creative concepts beyond generic or template-driven execution.
- Art direct campaign concepts and ensure each campaign has a deliberate visual point of view rather than simply adapting existing modules.
- Design primarily in Figma and prepare clean, organized handoffs for implementation teams.
- Work within Klaviyo while maintaining a strong design-first approach rather than defaulting to platform templates.
- Participate actively in creative critiques, providing thoughtful feedback to peers while incorporating feedback into your own work.
- Take increasing ownership of the visual direction for assigned accounts and contribute to the development of stronger creative standards across the team.
- Develop the creative leadership skills needed to eventually direct new-business creative and broader campaign concepts.
- 4+ years of experience designing digital campaign work, with substantial email design experience represented in your portfolio.
- Demonstrated experience with campaign art direction rather than primarily production or template-based email execution.
- Strong visual design skills, including custom typography, photography treatments, merchandising, composition, and brand storytelling.
- Experience working within at least two of the following industries: fashion, beauty, CPG, accessories, luxury, or e-commerce.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with Klaviyo is advantageous, although strong design expertise is prioritized and platform knowledge can be developed.
- Ability to create work that feels premium and brand-specific while remaining focused on conversion and performance.
- Strong understanding of visual systems and the ability to consistently extend a brand identity across multiple campaigns and formats.
- Professional written English and strong communication skills.
- Ability to participate constructively in creative critiques, give clear feedback, and respond positively to direction.
- Portfolio link is required and should demonstrate relevant email and digital campaign work.
- Ability to work core hours from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST.
- Candidates should be based in the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, or Brazil.
