This role is a strategic and execution-focused opportunity for an experienced business development professional within the legal or professional services sector.
You will work closely with senior partners and leadership to design, implement, and optimize business development initiatives that drive client acquisition and strengthen long-term relationships.
The position blends hands-on delivery with strategic planning, requiring someone who can manage priorities, build structured processes, and execute high-quality BD programs.
You will play a key role in enhancing client targeting, pitch development, CRM management, and marketing execution across multiple legal practice areas.
The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and highly performance-driven, with direct exposure to senior stakeholders and complex client work.
You will also contribute to modernizing BD operations through data-driven approaches and the integration of AI tools into workflows.
This is a remote contractor role based in Brazil, aligned with US Eastern Time working hours.


Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate directly with senior partners and the Head of Business Development to build, execute, and monitor strategic BD plans, ensuring alignment, accountability, and consistent progress tracking.
  • Manage and maintain the firm’s CRM system, ensuring accurate tracking of client activity, pipeline data, deal credentials, and business development initiatives.
  • Develop, update, and refine credentials, capability statements, and pitch materials to support RFPs, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Conduct market research and client mapping to identify new business opportunities, referral networks, and strategic targets, proactively sharing insights with partners.
  • Coordinate and support business development activities including events, conferences, sponsorships, and speaking engagements.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, presentations, and thought leadership content in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Requirements:

    • Proven experience in a Business Development role within a law firm or professional services environment.
    • Strong understanding of legal industry dynamics and partner-led business development structures.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and execute BD initiatives at a manager level, not only in a support capacity.
    • Excellent organizational and execution skills, with the ability to track priorities and ensure follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality client-facing materials.
    • Experience working in high-growth or less structured environments requiring autonomy and initiative.
    • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word for developing polished presentations and professional documents.
    • Experience maintaining CRM systems and credentials databases is highly desirable.
    • Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve research, content creation, or BD workflows is a strong advantage.
    • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with senior stakeholders across US Eastern Time zones.
