Accountabilities:
- Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and medical institutions.
- Serve as the primary scientific liaison for investigators interested in developing investigator-initiated research projects.
- Develop and execute territory engagement plans aligned with broader Medical Affairs and country-level strategies.
- Deliver accurate, balanced, and compliant scientific information through presentations, educational discussions, and medical exchanges.
- Respond appropriately to unsolicited medical and scientific inquiries from healthcare stakeholders and payer audiences.
- Support medical education initiatives and disseminate scientific publications and clinical updates.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations teams to support patient enrollment in company-sponsored clinical trials and identify suitable research sites.
- Provide scientific support during medical congresses, conferences, and external educational events.
- Share timely field insights, emerging scientific trends, and stakeholder feedback with internal cross-functional teams.
- Ensure all activities remain compliant with applicable regulations, company policies, SOPs, and ethical standards.
- Contribute collaboratively to strategic initiatives across Medical Affairs, Clinical, and Commercial functions.
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree such as MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison is strongly preferred.
- Experience in rare diseases, especially metabolic or genetic disorders, is considered a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly.
- Strong understanding of local healthcare systems, patient pathways, and medical practice environments in Brazil.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, investigators, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and territory management skills with the ability to prioritize activities effectively.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating successfully within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience supporting clinical research initiatives and scientific exchange programs.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, and commitment to patient-focused healthcare innovation.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel as needed.
