This role offers an opportunity to help young learners build a strong and lasting foundation in mathematics. You will deliver engaging 1-on-1 or small-group online lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum. Your teaching will make core mathematical concepts accessible through clear explanations, visual aids, practical examples, and interactive activities. You will support students in developing mental math, problem-solving, and confidence with numbers. The role requires patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt lessons to each learner's pace. You will also contribute to a positive, structured, and encouraging virtual classroom experience.
Accountabilities
- Deliver engaging online mathematics lessons covering Grade 3 CBSE topics, including number systems, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, measurement, time, and fractions.
- Develop visual, practical, and interactive lesson plans that make mathematical concepts accessible and enjoyable for primary school students.
- Use age-appropriate teaching techniques, examples, and activities to strengthen foundational mathematical understanding.
- Help students develop mental math abilities and introduce effective approaches to solving basic word problems.
- Adapt instruction to individual learning speeds, identify areas requiring additional support, and provide targeted guidance.
- Assign short practice exercises and monitor student progress to reinforce concepts between lessons.
- Provide periodic, constructive feedback on student performance and learning development.
- Maintain a warm, patient, encouraging, and well-structured online learning environment.
- Graduate degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, B.Ed., or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience teaching primary-level mathematics, preferably within the CBSE curriculum or a comparable educational framework.
- Strong command of fundamental mathematics concepts appropriate for Grade 3 learners.
- Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to explain mathematical ideas clearly and in an age-appropriate manner.
- Exceptional patience and empathy when working with young learners.
- Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and student engagement skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs and learning pace.
- Comfortable delivering instruction through digital learning platforms and online classroom environments.
- Access to a laptop or PC with a webcam and a stable, high-speed internet connection.
- A digital pen tablet is preferred for interactive online teaching and mathematical demonstrations.
