Online Teacher, IG Physics

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Online Teacher, IG Physics based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to deliver personalized Physics education to motivated students through live, one-on-one online lessons. You will help learners build strong subject knowledge, scientific reasoning, mathematical problem-solving skills, and confidence in applying Physics to real-world situations. The position covers core areas of the IG Physics curriculum, from mechanics and electricity to waves, energy, thermal physics, magnetism, and atomic physics. You will adapt your teaching to individual student needs while using digital tools and engaging instructional strategies. The role also involves preparing students for examinations, monitoring academic progress, and providing targeted feedback. Working in a fully remote environment, you will contribute to a globally connected learning community and high-quality educational resources.

Accountabilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live IG Physics lessons tailored to individual student needs.
• Teach key Physics concepts including mechanics, forces and motion, electricity, waves, energy, thermal physics, magnetism, and atomic physics.
• Develop students’ scientific reasoning, mathematical problem-solving abilities, and capacity to apply Physics concepts in practical and real-world contexts.
• Use varied teaching strategies and digital tools to create interactive, supportive, and effective online learning experiences.
• Assess student progress, provide targeted feedback, and adapt teaching approaches to support strong academic outcomes.
• Prepare students for IG Physics examinations and assessments, including developing effective exam techniques and confidence in applying concepts.
• Plan and communicate clear course schedules, lesson content, and assessment timelines.
• Set meaningful homework and design and administer appropriate assessments.
• Develop high-quality educational materials and contribute to broader learning resources.
• Maintain a professional, structured, and well-organized virtual classroom environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a school setting; tutoring experience alone does not count toward this requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Science, Education, or a related field.
• Strong subject knowledge in Physics and the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and enthusiasm for technology-enabled education.
• Previous experience teaching IG Physics at secondary or high school level is preferred.
• Experience teaching an international curriculum, particularly Cambridge International or Pearson Edexcel, is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IG Physics curriculum requirements, assessments, and examination techniques is preferred.
• A recognized teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree, or teaching license, is advantageous.
• Previous online teaching experience is advantageous.
