Product Owner (EdTech)
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Owner (EdTech) based in Brazil.
This is a key product role within a fast-growing education technology environment focused on building scalable, high-impact digital learning experiences for millions of students. You will be responsible for turning business needs into clear product requirements and ensuring smooth execution across development teams in a highly collaborative, agile setup. The role sits at the intersection of product, technology, and education, requiring strong ownership of backlog prioritization, delivery alignment, and continuous product improvement. You will work closely with Product Managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure value-driven outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the evolution of digital education platforms and backoffice systems used across multiple learning verticals. You will play a central role in improving learning experiences through structured, data-informed product delivery.
Accountabilities:
- Manage, organize, and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery goals.
- Translate business needs into clear, structured product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Design, and Engineering teams to ensure continuous delivery of value.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, supporting planning, refinement, and removal of product-related impediments.
- Track product execution, ensuring alignment between scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Define and monitor product metrics and operational indicators to support data-driven decision-making.
- Validate delivered features to ensure they meet defined objectives and business expectations.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, ensuring transparency on progress and priorities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product processes, tools, and delivery practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in EdTech companies or with educational backoffice systems is highly valued.
- Prior experience as Product Owner, Product Analyst, or Business Analyst in agile environments.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or other agile methodologies.
- Proven experience in backlog management, prioritization, and requirement definition.
- Ability to translate business needs into structured and actionable technical requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.
- Analytical mindset with experience in product metrics and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with product and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello is a plus.
- Experience with academic systems, ERP platforms, UX principles, or agile certifications is considered a strong advantage.
