QA Analyst – BI & Data | Senior

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Analyst – BI & Data | Senior based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity for a senior QA professional to work on data-driven projects, ensuring the reliability and quality of business intelligence solutions.
The role focuses on validating dashboards, indicators, reports, and data processes within complex analytics environments.
You will collaborate with technical and business teams to identify inconsistencies, improve quality standards, and support successful deliveries.
The position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and experience with data validation and testing strategies.
You will contribute to building trustworthy data products by ensuring accuracy, performance, and compliance with business rules.

Accountabilities:

The QA Analyst will be responsible for defining and executing quality strategies for BI and data solutions, ensuring that dashboards, reports, and indicators meet technical and business expectations. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to validate data accuracy, investigate issues, and support continuous improvement.

• Define testing strategies for dashboards, indicators, and data visualization solutions.
• Create and execute test scenarios covering metrics, filters, dimensions, business rules, access profiles, and dashboard behaviors.
• Validate consistency between legacy reports and migrated dashboards.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries for comparison analysis and identification of data discrepancies.
• Investigate data inconsistencies in collaboration with technical teams.
• Validate dashboard functionalities, drill-down features, Row-Level Security rules, and sensitive data protection mechanisms.
• Document test results, evidence, identified issues, and acceptance criteria.
• Support user acceptance testing and validation phases.
• Monitor defect resolution, execute regression testing, and assist with delivery approvals.
• Contribute to documentation of testing processes, scenarios, and quality evidence.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong experience in software quality assurance, particularly in BI, analytics, and data environments. This professional should combine technical testing skills with analytical capabilities to validate complex data solutions and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.

• Proven experience as a Senior QA Analyst or in similar software quality roles.
• Experience defining and executing functional testing, regression testing, and validation strategies.
• Knowledge of data validation processes, business indicators, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Experience creating and executing SQL queries, preferably in BigQuery or similar cloud data platforms.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Experience working with data, BI, or Big Data environments is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical skills for investigating inconsistencies and validating business rules.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail, ownership mindset, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
