QA Automation Engineer Sênior

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Automation Engineer Sênior based in Brazil.

This role is an opportunity for an experienced QA professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality digital solutions through advanced test automation practices.
You will design, implement, and maintain automated testing strategies across web, mobile, API, and data environments.
The position combines technical expertise, quality engineering, and collaboration with development teams to ensure reliable software delivery.
You will help improve testing processes, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and establish strong quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for web applications, mobile platforms, APIs, and data solutions.
• Create and improve automation scripts using tools such as WebdriverIO, Appium, Postman, and PactumJS.
• Design and execute automated tests across Android and iOS devices to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Integrate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring quality validation throughout deployment cycles.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using testing management tools and issue tracking platforms.
• Create test reports, monitor quality metrics, and support the implementation of Quality Gates.
• Configure and execute tests using Device Farms to validate applications across multiple environments and devices.
• Contribute to the evolution of testing strategies, promoting quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve automation coverage, testing efficiency, and overall product quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in test automation for web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of WebdriverIO and Appium for mobile automation across Android and iOS platforms.
• Experience with API automation using tools such as Postman or PactumJS.
• Solid understanding of BDD/Gherkin methodologies and automated testing practices.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and familiarity with Python programming.
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience managing test processes, quality metrics, reports, and validation workflows.
• Knowledge of Quality Gates and continuous quality monitoring practices.
• Experience configuring and using Device Farms for automated testing.
• Strong foundation in software testing concepts, methodologies, processes, and quality best practices.
• Experience in financial services and/or payment solutions is considered a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
