Quality Assurance Engineer

This role is focused on ensuring that software products are thoroughly validated, stable, and production-ready before reaching end users. You will operate as a key quality gate within a fast-paced SaaS environment, combining manual testing expertise with automation capabilities to ensure robust coverage across features, integrations, and regression flows. The position requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to identify edge cases that others may miss. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams, contributing directly to release quality and customer experience. The environment is agile, collaborative, and highly focused on continuous improvement and delivery excellence. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership over quality processes and direct impact on production reliability.

Accountabilities:

• Design, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria aligned with product requirements.
• Execute manual testing activities including functional, regression, UI/UX, and cross-browser/cross-device testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, ensuring clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and monitor execution results.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and support performance and security testing when needed.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, support root cause analysis, and validate fixes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Maintain QA documentation, including test cases, test results, and quality reports.
• Monitor and report key quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and release readiness.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, software testing, or QA engineering roles.
• Experience in manual testing and familiarity with test case design and execution.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to clearly document bugs and communicate effectively with technical teams.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman (nice to have RestAssured).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration (nice to have).
• Experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and thoroughness under delivery timelines.
