Quality Assurance Engineer

This role is central to ensuring that digital products are robust, reliable, and fully validated before reaching end users. The Quality Assurance Engineer will operate across both manual and automated testing activities, playing a critical role in safeguarding product quality throughout the development lifecycle. Working closely with engineering and product teams, the position contributes directly to sprint cycles, release readiness, and continuous improvement of testing practices. The role combines technical execution with analytical thinking, ensuring defects are identified early and resolved efficiently. Accountabilities:

• Design and develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria aligned with product and engineering requirements.
• Execute manual testing activities including functional, regression, UI/UX, and cross-browser/device testing to ensure product reliability.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, ensuring clear reproduction steps and supporting materials.
• Build, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and monitor execution results.
• Conduct API testing and support performance testing activities using tools such as Postman, JMeter, or Locust.
• Collaborate closely with developers during sprint ceremonies to validate fixes, support root cause analysis, and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain test documentation, including test cases, results, and quality reports, while tracking key quality metrics.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing roles.
• Hands-on experience with QA tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in writing structured, clear, and comprehensive test cases and documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify edge cases and anticipate potential issues.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership over product quality.
• Nice to have: experience in SaaS or enterprise products, API testing (Postman, RestAssured), CI/CD pipelines, or security/compliance-focused environments.
