SAP Application Security Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP Application Security Analyst based in Mexico.

This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise SAP security environments across a global organization.
You will help protect critical business systems by managing user access, authorization processes, and compliance activities.
The position combines technical troubleshooting, security operations, and collaboration with business and IT teams.
You will contribute to secure SAP operations across platforms such as S/4HANA, Fiori, ECC, and BW.
Working within established security frameworks, you will help ensure data protection, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity.

Accountabilities:

As an SAP Application Security Analyst, you will support daily security operations while ensuring appropriate access controls, compliance standards, and system integrity across enterprise SAP environments. You will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain security processes, and support continuous improvements.

• Analyze and resolve SAP user access and authorization issues while meeting established service levels and security procedures.
• Create, modify, and maintain SAP roles, profiles, and access configurations while following security standards and segregation of duties (SoD) requirements.
• Support SAP security activities related to projects, system enhancements, testing, and access control validation.
• Execute and monitor compliance activities, including SOX controls, internal audits, user access reviews, and remediation actions.
• Monitor security audit logs and system controls to maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with business process owners and functional teams to understand access needs and implement secure solutions.
• Research SAP security updates, enhancements, and support documentation while escalating complex issues when required.
• Contribute to improving SAP security processes, documentation, and operational efficiency across global systems.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in SAP security, user access management, and enterprise application security. You should combine strong technical knowledge with analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 2 years focused on SAP Security, application security, or user access management.
• Experience supporting SAP environments such as ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, and BW.
• Working knowledge of SAP authorization concepts, role-based access management, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) principles.
• Understanding of business processes and how system access impacts compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Experience working in global enterprise or manufacturing environments with ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business users, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Ability to assess security risks, balance compliance requirements, and support business objectives.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and professional judgment.
