Senior Analytics Engineer

This role is a key driver in shaping how data is transformed, trusted, and leveraged across the organization. You will be responsible for building scalable and reliable data models that turn raw information into actionable business insights. Working fully remotely within a collaborative data team, you will act as a bridge between data engineering and analytics, ensuring consistency, quality, and usability of core data assets. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making by enabling high-quality metrics and self-service analytics across the business. You will play a central role in defining and maintaining modern data warehouse structures, including layered architectures. This is a highly impactful position for someone passionate about data modeling, automation, and data governance. You will also help establish best practices in documentation, testing, and analytical reliability at scale.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for designing robust data transformation pipelines and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and usability of the organization’s data foundations.

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data transformation models to generate reliable business and product metrics.
• Serve as a key link between Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams, ensuring alignment on data structures and usage.
• Build and maintain automated data quality tests to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust in data outputs.
• Design and document scalable data models and processes to support self-service analytics and long-term maintainability.
• Validate data models and analytical outputs, acting as a reference point for peers and ensuring best practices are followed.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of data warehouse architecture, including layered structures (bronze, silver, and gold).

Requirements:

You bring strong analytical expertise and hands-on experience in data modeling, transformation, and analytics engineering within modern data environments.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL with strong experience in complex data transformation logic.
• Hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool) for building scalable data models.
• Strong experience with GitHub or similar version control systems.
• Solid background in data modeling and data warehouse architecture, including layered (bronze, silver, gold) frameworks.
• Experience implementing automated data testing and validation frameworks.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to produce clear, user-friendly documentation for data processes and models.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to act quickly on data-related challenges.
• Familiarity with spreadsheet tools for data manipulation and analysis.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
• Exposure to AWS QuickSight or similar BI tools.
• Knowledge of SaaS metrics and product analytics.
• Strong passion for documentation and data governance.
• Advanced dbt experience.
