This role sits at the core of a high-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platform that processes millions of records daily in a demanding production environment.
You will be responsible for designing and evolving cloud infrastructure that ensures stability, scalability, and cost efficiency across global workloads.
The position blends deep technical ownership with strategic influence over DevOps practices, automation, and system reliability.
You will work closely with engineering teams to build resilient AWS-based architectures that support rapid product growth.
A strong focus is placed on observability, performance optimization, and secure infrastructure design.
This is a hands-on senior role where your decisions directly impact platform reliability and operational excellence at scale.

Accountabilities

  • Architect and maintain scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency across production environments.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using modern tooling to standardize and automate provisioning across all environments.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, secure deployments, and efficient release workflows at scale.
  • Develop and enhance observability systems, including monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing, to proactively identify and resolve system issues.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes-based environments (EKS), including autoscaling strategies, workload distribution, and cluster performance tuning.
  • Improve platform security, reliability, and disaster recovery mechanisms to reduce risk and strengthen system resilience.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives by analyzing usage patterns and implementing efficiency-focused architectural improvements.
  • Contribute to innovation in automation and AI-assisted operations to increase engineering productivity and system intelligence.
  • Requirements

    • 8+ years of experience working with AWS in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles supporting production SaaS systems at scale.
    • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, along with experience in Helm, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
    • Solid background in distributed systems, event-driven microservices, and large-scale cloud-native environments.
    • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, AuroraDB, Keyspaces, and OpenSearch in production settings.
    • Proven experience managing Kubernetes clusters with autoscaling tools (e.g., Karpenter) and performance optimization strategies.
    • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and blue/green deployment strategies.
    • Strong Linux systems knowledge and proficiency in Python or other scripting languages, with software engineering experience considered a strong advantage.
    • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, contribute to architecture discussions, and drive technical improvements across teams.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a proven focus on cloud cost optimization and operational efficiency.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong culture of knowledge sharing.
    • Experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve infrastructure operations and engineering productivity is highly valued.
    • Benefits

      • Competitive total compensation package: USD $75,000–$85,000 (depending on experience and location)
      • Remote-first environment with “work from (almost) anywhere” flexibility
      • Flexible holiday substitution policy and additional paid time off options
      • Paid volunteer days to support community engagement
      • Monthly home office stipend to support remote work setup
      • Employee stock option plan
      • Annual learning and development budget of $1,000
