Senior Data Engineer

This role sits at the core of a fast-scaling data and AI ecosystem powering global job discovery and matching. You will be responsible for designing and evolving the data infrastructure that processes thousands of daily job listings and enables intelligent, high-performance matching at scale. Working fully remotely within a distributed international team, you will play a key role in shaping how data flows from ingestion to machine learning systems. The environment is highly technical, product-driven, and impact-oriented, with strong emphasis on ownership and execution. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and AI specialists to ensure data is reliable, scalable, and actionable. Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance data architectures supporting large-scale ingestion, processing, and transformation workflows.
• Develop and optimize robust data pipelines that connect scraping systems, databases, and AI/ML models used for matching and analytics.
• Improve existing data flows by enhancing efficiency, accuracy, reliability, and scalability across distributed systems.
• Manage end-to-end data pipeline operations, ensuring seamless integration between structured and unstructured data sources.
• Support production environments by ensuring stability, monitoring system performance, and resolving data-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and product requirements into scalable technical data solutions.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data models, pipelines, and system architecture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering standards, practices, and tooling.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering roles, building and managing large-scale data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with at least 5 years of professional development experience.
• Solid expertise in data modeling, schema design, and modern data warehousing concepts.
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL systems such as MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and big data frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop.
• Fluent professional communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven environments is highly valued.
