This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Engineer — Generative AI, Data & MDM based in Brazil.

This role sits at the intersection of advanced data engineering, artificial intelligence, and enterprise data governance. The professional will design and build scalable data platforms that power intelligent solutions for customer master data management. You will work on high-impact initiatives involving GenAI, LLMs, and agent-based architectures to transform raw data into actionable business intelligence. The environment is highly technical, collaborative, and focused on innovation, with strong emphasis on cloud-native architectures and modern data practices. You will contribute directly to the evolution of Golden Record strategies, data quality, and MDM governance frameworks. This position offers the opportunity to shape intelligent data ecosystems that enable automation, recommendations, and decision-making at scale.

Accountabilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and PySpark, ensuring high performance, reliability, and efficiency across large-scale data environments.
• Design and implement data solutions that support GenAI use cases, including LLMs, RAG architectures, agents, and multi-agent systems for intelligent automation.
• Build and evolve data products in cloud environments (Azure and GCP), supporting real-time and batch processing pipelines with strong governance and observability.
• Enable Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives, including Golden Record creation, data quality improvement, deduplication, and customer data consistency.
• Support ML/AI initiatives by preparing and structuring data for machine learning models, enabling training, deployment, and monitoring in production (MLOps).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and development best practices using GitHub and GitHub Actions, ensuring version control, testing, and deployment standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in data, business, and technology to translate complex requirements into scalable and intelligent data solutions.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer or equivalent role, with solid background in building and maintaining enterprise-grade data platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering, automation, analytics, and support of AI-driven solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and PySpark in large-scale, cloud-based data environments.
• Knowledge of Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, RAG, agent-based systems, and intelligent data workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure Databricks and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with real-time data processing using Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployment of machine learning models.
• Experience in data governance, data quality, and MDM concepts, including Golden Record and customer data management.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills, autonomy, and a proactive, innovation-driven mindset.
