This role is designed for a senior legal professional who thrives in high-autonomy, high-impact environments. You will act as a strategic legal partner to the business, owning mandates end-to-end rather than operating in a purely advisory capacity. The position combines corporate, commercial, and regulatory responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions, requiring both depth and agility. You will support international expansion, complex transactions, and ongoing regulatory compliance in fast-moving markets. Working closely with senior leadership, you will directly influence business decisions and risk strategy. Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end legal support for international expansion initiatives, including entity structuring, market entry strategy, regulatory approvals, and operational launch activities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of complex commercial agreements, including trading, technology, vendor, service, and partnership contracts.
  • Support corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investment structures, and related due diligence processes.
  • Own cross-functional legal projects, working closely with compliance, finance, operations, HR, and senior leadership to deliver business-aligned solutions.
  • Monitor evolving regulatory frameworks in key markets and translate legal developments into clear, actionable guidance for internal stakeholders.
  • Support licensing, regulatory obligations, and ongoing compliance in regulated jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to local and international requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams on commercial, regulatory, employment, and people-related legal matters, including direct engagement with executive leadership when required.
  • Manage and coordinate external counsel to ensure high-quality, practical, and cost-efficient legal outcomes.
  • Requirements:

    • Qualified lawyer with at least 7+ years of post-qualification experience.
    • Strong background in a top-tier law firm or leading international/regional practice, demonstrating structured and rigorous legal thinking.
    • Proven experience handling complex, multi-jurisdictional legal matters independently from initiation through completion.
    • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to align legal advice with business objectives and risk appetite.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.
    • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
    • Proficiency with modern digital tools, including Google Workspace and AI platforms such as Gemini, Claude, or equivalent solutions to enhance productivity.
    • Strong problem-solving ability, adaptability, and confidence working in ambiguous or evolving situations.
