Senior Next.js Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Next.js Developer based in Brazil.

This is a full-time, fully remote engineering role focused on building high-quality, user-facing web experiences.
You will develop and enhance modern applications using Next.js while contributing to scalable and performant front-end solutions.
The role combines hands-on development with close collaboration across engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams.
You will help translate UI/UX concepts into technically sound implementations that are responsive, stable, and intuitive.
A strong focus on performance, maintainability, usability, and clean engineering practices will be central to your work.
You will also contribute to improving existing applications while developing new features that support broader business outcomes.

Accountabilities:

• Develop new user-facing features and experiences using Next.js and modern front-end technologies.
• Build robust, clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with established engineering practices.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, responsiveness, and overall performance.
• Assess the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and translate them into effective front-end implementations.
• Collaborate closely with back-end developers, web designers, and cross-functional teams to improve usability and product experiences.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing web applications while identifying opportunities for technical improvement.
• Conduct performance testing and help ensure application responsiveness, stability, and consistent behavior across platforms and devices.
• Take ownership of assigned work, manage priorities independently, and contribute proactively to team objectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional web development experience, including at least 3 years working with Next.js.
• Proven experience working effectively in a fully remote environment with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong knowledge of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with modern UI frameworks and component libraries such as Tailwind, Material UI, or Joy UI.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms.
• Experience using state management libraries such as Redux or MobX.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines, development tools, and workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-driven, organized, flexible, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities in a distributed team environment.
• Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to supporting teammates, partners, and stakeholders.
