Senior Python/django Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Python/Django Developer based in Brazil.

This remote opportunity is designed for an experienced backend developer who is passionate about building scalable SaaS applications and delivering reliable technology solutions. You will contribute to the development of platforms that support businesses and consumers through innovative tools for scheduling, online transactions, inventory management, and operational workflows. The role focuses on backend engineering with Python/Django while also offering opportunities to contribute to full-stack initiatives. You will collaborate with experienced developers, optimize complex systems, and help shape product improvements through clean, maintainable code. Accountabilities:

As a Senior Python/Django Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services while contributing to overall product quality and scalability. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Python and Django.
• Building efficient and reliable APIs while collaborating with frontend developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Managing, optimizing, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases to support application performance and reliability.
• Performing code reviews, writing automated tests, and ensuring adherence to development best practices and quality standards.
• Contributing to full-stack development initiatives, including occasional frontend work with React and TypeScript.
• Troubleshooting technical challenges and implementing effective solutions to improve application stability.
• Collaborating with cross-functional development teams to deliver new features and product enhancements.
• Continuously evaluating new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve development processes.
• Supporting cloud-based application environments and contributing to infrastructure improvements when needed.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced backend engineer with strong Python/Django expertise and a passion for building high-quality software solutions. You should bring:

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience developing applications with Python and Django.
• Strong experience working with PostgreSQL databases, including optimization and data management.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and scalable software development practices.
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript is beneficial.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with international teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and willingness to continuously learn and improve.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote development environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
