Senior QA Engineer (Mobile and Web)

This role is designed for a seasoned QA professional who thrives in fast-moving, product-driven environments where quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle rather than validated at the end. You will work on web and mobile applications that are often in active evolution, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define what “good” truly means from both a user and business perspective. The role requires strong ownership of testing strategy, including exploratory, regression, and end-to-end testing across multiple platforms. You will play a key part in ensuring product reliability, usability, and performance while contributing to shaping testing approaches in dynamic, international project teams. This is a contractor-based opportunity ideal for professionals who enjoy ambiguity, collaboration, and high-impact digital products.

Accountabilities:

• Perform exploratory, regression, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements, clarify expectations, and ensure product quality.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects with clear reproduction steps and contextual details.
• Participate in test planning, defining scope, coverage, and execution strategies for each release cycle.
• Validate functional, usability, and business requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and quality standards within project teams.
• Engage in delivery discussions with international, multidisciplinary teams to align on quality expectations.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in manual QA, including exploratory, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on experience testing mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Proven ability to write clear, detailed bug reports and effectively communicate technical issues.
• Strong understanding of product quality, user experience, and software delivery processes.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and product.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving project environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows for testing, documentation, or productivity is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor based in Brazil, with ability to invoice in USD.
