In this role, you will work at the core of post-trade systems, building and scaling the infrastructure that ensures financial transactions are processed accurately and reliably. Youβll contribute to mission-critical backend services that power clearing, settlement, and securities finance operations in a fast-evolving financial ecosystem. Operating within a globally distributed and highly collaborative engineering team, you will take ownership of complex projects from concept to production. Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems supporting clearing, settlement, and financial operations
- Own projects end-to-end, from ideation and design through to deployment and continuous improvement
- Develop new infrastructure and services to enable additional financial products and integrations
- Continuously refine and optimize existing systems to improve performance, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives
- Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring system stability and rapid incident resolution
- Contribute to engineering best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team
- 5+ years of experience building reliable, distributed backend systems in production environments
- Strong programming skills in Go and solid experience with PostgreSQL and Kubernetes
- Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, databases, and internet architecture
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs with a focus on scalability and maintainability
- Ability to take full ownership of projects and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a high sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a globally distributed team
- Interest in financial systems, trading infrastructure, or market operations
- Experience in startup environments and adaptability to shifting priorities
- Familiarity with tools such as gRPC, Kafka, Docker, Helm, or observability platforms is a plus
- Experience in clearing, settlement, or securities finance domains is advantageous
