This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of supplier quality across a growing network of suppliers, co-manufacturers, laboratories, copackers, and distribution partners. You’ll help ensure that quality, food safety, and regulatory standards are consistently met from supplier qualification through ongoing performance management. The position combines hands-on auditing, corrective action leadership, compliance verification, and supplier relationship management. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to identify risks early and drive sustainable improvements. The role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, evidence-driven, and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment. Regular travel will provide direct exposure to supplier and manufacturing operations and make your impact highly visible.

Accountabilities

  • Own the supplier qualification program end to end across suppliers, co-manufacturers, copackers, laboratories, and distribution partners.
  • Conduct and coordinate on-site audits across supplier facilities, distribution centers, and co-manufacturing sites.
  • Lead supplier corrective action processes from initial issue identification and root-cause investigation through remediation and effectiveness verification.
  • Build, maintain, and analyze supplier scorecards to monitor quality, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and use data and evidence to identify areas requiring attention or improvement.
  • Verify compliance with GFSI standards, cGMP requirements, food safety expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support new supplier onboarding and ensure quality readiness for new products and launches.
  • Identify emerging quality and compliance risks proactively and develop practical solutions before they become larger issues.
  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners while maintaining clear quality expectations and accountability.
  • Travel regularly to supplier and co-manufacturer facilities, with most visits lasting approximately 1–4 days depending on the scope of the engagement or audit.
  • Requirements

    • 2–5 years of professional experience in supplier quality, food safety, quality assurance, supply chain compliance, or a closely related field.
    • HACCP certification with practical experience applying HACCP principles in supplier, manufacturing, or food production environments.
    • Internal Auditor certification with hands-on experience conducting or leading meaningful audits.
    • Direct experience working within a GFSI-recognized certification framework such as SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, or a comparable standard.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading supplier audits and managing corrective action processes through completion.
    • Strong knowledge of FDA food safety regulations and supplier verification requirements.
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to make quality and compliance decisions based on evidence and data.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and internal stakeholders.
    • A proactive mindset focused on identifying risks early rather than reacting after issues occur.
    • Strong ownership and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and commitments independently.
    • Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including multi-day trips to supplier and co-manufacturer facilities across different states.
    • Benefits

      • Base salary of $90,000–$115,000 plus bonus, depending on experience.
      • Competitive total compensation informed by market data, company stage, industry, and location.
      • Comprehensive benefits designed to support employee and family well-being.
      • Generous paid time off.
      • Strong health and wellness benefits.
      • Product subscriptions provided to employees.
      • Opportunities for professional growth, career development, and meaningful impact.
      • Fully remote, high-trust working environment.
      • Regular company off-sites held twice a year to foster collaboration and connection.
      • Opportunity to work with a diverse, collaborative, and results-oriented team.
      • A culture centered on high standards, ownership, urgency, continuous improvement, and measurable impact.
