Accountabilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop software engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, accountability, and continuous growth.
• Drive the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions while promoting engineering best practices and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to align technical initiatives with business priorities, product roadmaps, and long-term strategic goals.
• Support architectural discussions and guide teams toward sustainable, reusable, and scalable platform solutions.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction to maintain long-term product quality and development efficiency.
• Optimize team processes, remove delivery obstacles, and continuously improve engineering workflows and productivity.
• Manage team capacity, recruitment, career development, performance reviews, and succession planning.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicate technical concepts to business audiences, and align expectations across teams.
• Oversee engineering budgets and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency and return on investment.
• Promote a psychologically safe, inclusive workplace that encourages innovation, collaboration, and diverse perspectives.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading software engineering teams or serving as a technical leader transitioning into people management.
• Strong background in software engineering with experience designing and delivering scalable, distributed systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience using engineering performance metrics, such as DORA Metrics, to drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations, prioritize initiatives, and balance business objectives with technical excellence.
• Strong leadership, coaching, delegation, conflict resolution, and talent development skills.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on business impact, operational efficiency, and long-term technology planning.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, Datadog, or similar platforms is considered an advantage.
