Software Engineer III - Mobile

This role is part of a high-impact mobile engineering team focused on building scalable, high-quality digital payment experiences used by thousands of businesses across Brazil. The professional will contribute to the development of robust Android applications that support end-to-end payment journeys, including in-person and online transactions. Working in a collaborative, product-driven environment, the role involves close interaction with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver seamless and reliable mobile experiences. The team operates with modern mobile technologies and emphasizes code quality, performance, and scalability. This position offers strong exposure to large-scale financial products and innovative payment solutions. Accountabilities:

• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions within the mobile engineering team.
• Develop, maintain, and improve Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Collaborate in the analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues across mobile systems and physical devices.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, clean architecture principles, and participation in code reviews and pair programming sessions.
• Contribute to testing strategies including unit, integration, functional, and snapshot testing to ensure product reliability.
• Work with APIs, cloud services, local and remote storage, authentication systems, and push notification frameworks.
• Monitor application health metrics and contribute to continuous improvement of mobile products and engineering processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to planning, refinement, and delivery of mobile features.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in Android development with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns, modularization, and clean code principles.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and mobile build systems such as Gradle and Android Studio.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with cloud services such as Firebase or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting on mobile devices.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and collaborative engineering practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Nice to have: experience with KMP (Kotlin Multiplatform), React Native, design systems, mobile app publication, fintech products, or backend languages such as Go.
