Software Engineer - Warehouse Edge

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer - Warehouse Edge based in Mexico.

This is an opportunity to build and enhance software that powers modern warehouse and distribution operations at scale.
You will work across a mature .NET platform, mobile applications, APIs, databases, and legacy integrations within a multi-tenant environment.
The role combines hands-on engineering with technical ownership, architectural improvement, and continuous product evolution.
You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.
Beyond feature development, you will help identify technical risks, improve scalability, and strengthen engineering standards and workflows.
You will also have the opportunity to mentor developers and contribute to a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning.
Your work will directly support technologies designed to make supply chains more efficient, resilient, and adaptable.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain features across server-side business logic, OData/REST APIs, mobile applications, database components, and legacy integrations.
• Take ownership of feature enhancements and defect resolution, working independently and with the wider engineering squad to meet delivery, quality, and estimation objectives.
• Develop a deep understanding of the platform architecture and model-driven code-generation system, using that knowledge to improve functionality and development practices.
• Apply sound engineering principles through code reviews, technical documentation, testing, and continuous improvements to development standards and workflows.
• Identify architectural gaps and opportunities to improve scalability, maintainability, productivity, and overall engineering effectiveness.
• Deliver reliable and maintainable solutions throughout the complete development lifecycle, from technical design through release.
• Identify technical and architectural risks early and implement practical solutions to address code-quality or system-level issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders throughout Agile planning, development, testing, and delivery activities.
• Mentor less-experienced developers and contribute to knowledge sharing and technical development within the team.
• Support a collaborative and adaptable engineering culture through clear communication, sound technical judgment, and continuous learning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET, including strong knowledge of .NET Framework 4.8 and experience delivering commercial software.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and/or JavaScript, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and complex database queries.
• Experience developing and supporting OData and REST APIs, with familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Understanding of NHibernate and multi-tenant application architectures is advantageous.
• Experience working within Agile software development teams and using tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
• Strong understanding of branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and modern software development workflows.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems, develop practical solutions, and communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong documentation, collaboration, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain software is highly desirable, particularly processes such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, wave planning, cycle counting, and putaway.
• Familiarity with large-scale enterprise or generated codebases, legacy scripting languages, dependency injection, repository and unit-of-work patterns, modular licensing, or feature toggles is a plus.
• Experience with mobile or handheld RF solutions, offline-capable HTML5/PWA applications, barcode or label printing, SSRS reporting, or warehouse automation interfaces is beneficial.
• Exposure to CI/CD automation, Azure or AWS cloud environments, SaaS platforms, and AI-assisted development tools is an advantage.
